What We Do

Power Windows, Locks & Lighting Done Right

Power accessories are the small things that make a car livable — and when they stop working, it's deeply annoying. Whether it's a power window regulator, a door lock actuator, a dead headlight, or BMW angel eyes going out one by one, we've seen and fixed it.

Most power accessory issues come down to three root causes: a failed motor or actuator, a broken wire in the door harness (very common — the wire flexes every time the door opens), or a failed module/switch. Proper diagnosis saves you from replacing parts that aren't actually broken.

We service power accessories on all makes and models — domestic trucks and SUVs, Japanese sedans, European luxury cars. Same-day service on most parts, with the right tools and coding equipment for vehicles that require it.

Our Process

How We Fix It Right the First Time

1

Identify the Failed Component

Is it the motor, the switch, the module, or the wiring? Each requires a different repair. We test in a specific order to find the exact failure point.

2

Source the Right Part

For things like window regulators and door lock actuators, we use OE or OE-quality parts — not the bottom-shelf aftermarket stuff that fails in a year. We explain the options up front.

3

Install, Test & Code (if needed)

We install the part, test it fully (including auto-up/down features that need calibration), and code it to the vehicle's body control module when required — e.g. many BMWs and Mercedes.

Questions from Downey Drivers

Frequently Asked Questions

My BMW/Mercedes angel-eye or DRL is out — can you fix it?

Yes. On many BMWs the halo ring LEDs fail in the headlight assembly, and the fix depends on the model year. On some it's a module replacement; on others the whole headlight. We'll diagnose and give you your options.

Only one of my door locks is broken. Can you fix just that one?

Yes. We can replace a single door lock actuator — no need to replace the whole set. Most of the time the wiring inside the door boot is also a good thing to inspect while we're in there, since it commonly breaks at the hinge.

Why does my power window go down but not up?

Usually a worn regulator or cable. On some vehicles it's the window motor itself. We test both — replacing the regulator when the motor is the real issue (or vice versa) is a classic mechanic mistake.

Can you replace just one headlight bulb?

Yes, though we strongly recommend replacing the matched pair if one side has failed. Bulbs on the same production batch tend to fail close together, and a mismatched pair looks bad and lights the road unevenly.

Are accessory repairs warranted?

Yes — every power accessory repair at Lynn's is backed by a 2-year / 24,000-mile nationwide warranty on parts and labor.
